National Minimum Data Set - Social Care (NMDS - SC)

In October 2005 Skills for Care launched the National Minimum Data Set for Social Care (NMDS-SC). This nationwide workforce information tool gathers detailed data from employers, providing an overview of the whole sector for the first time. If you have not yet activated your nmds-sc online account, or have not updated your information in the past 12 months, please contact Lee (see below)

NMDS-SC: are you missing out?

There are a number of social care employers who have provided workforce information to Skills for Care but not updated their workforce information for a while. There are also a number of employers that have not even activated their accounts. These employers are missing out on the benefits of the free NMDS-SC resource! Old data has an impact on the quality of information generated by the NMDS-SC, for example average pay rates, therefore these accounts will be closed by the start of May 2010 if not activated.

To help you to update your information, Skills for Care will email you every three months to offer you support if you need any help. For those employers whose accounts will be deleted in May we will also be writing to you.

If you think that your organisation has an un-activated account but has not yet received or have forgotten your NMDS-SC username and password please contact the NMDS-SC Helpdesk on 0845 873 0129.
